SEED BANK
Dantan Manav Kalyan Kendra (DMKK), in collaboration with the West Bengal Biodiversity Board, recently organized an awareness program focused on the importance of indigenous seed conservation, organic farming, and sustainable agricultural practices.
The nutritional value, disease resistance and high production benefits of indigenous seeds were explained in detail. Local farmers were trained on conservation and use of indigenous seeds, so that they can adopt sustainable farming methods instead of chemical-based farming.
