World Environment Day
message of protecting the environment
On the occasion of World Environment Day on June 5, Dantan Manav Kalyan Kendra organized various environmental awareness programs. On this day, the message of protecting the environment was given by planting saplings.
Students of the Day Care Center and residents of Jamuna Abasik Home made eco-friendly paper thongs. Then those thongs were distributed to various grocery stores, fried food shops and other food outlets in Kalichandi Bazar area of Dantan. Shopkeepers were urged to use these paper thongs instead of plastic carry bags and they were made aware about the harmful effects of plastic.
