AIDS Day Celebration - 2025
Dantan Manav Kalyan Kendra (DMKK) observed World AIDS Day 2025 with a special awareness programme organized in collaboration with the West Bengal State AIDS Prevention and Control Society (WBSAP&CS). The programme aimed to promote HIV prevention, increase public awareness, and eliminate stigma and discrimination against people living with HIV/AIDS.
The event was inaugurated by the distinguished guests through the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. In their addresses, the speakers emphasized the significance of World AIDS Day and shared important insights on HIV transmission, prevention methods, early diagnosis, and treatment. Special focus was given to addressing fear, myths, and misconceptions related to AIDS within society.
The programme was honoured by the presence of eminent guests and professionals from the health and social welfare sectors, including representatives from WBSAP&CS, SSKM ART Centre, ICTC, Seva Kendra, Premdan, along with doctors, counsellors, social workers, volunteers, and members of Dantan Manav Kalyan Kendra.
