Today, a special Exposure Visit was organized with the women of the Self Help Group trained in cow husbandry in collaboration with the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) program of NRL (Numaligarh Refinery Limited) and under the management of Dantan Manav Kalyan Kendra.
First, they visited Shiva Shakti Milk and Food Product Unit located in Churamanipur village near Jaleswar (Odisha). Here they gained experience about cheese production and marketing using modern methods.
In the second half, they visited Krishna Dairy Farm in Angragariya village near Balasore (Odisha). Here they gained practical experience about cow husbandry, milk production, milk processing, production of dairy products and its marketing using modern methods.
The main objective of this visit was to provide hands-on education about the methods of cow husbandry, milk collection, and production and marketing of cheese, sweets and other dairy products from that milk. The sisters witnessed how the entrepreneurs are earning regular income through their own products.
So that in the future, our trained sisters can also become self-sufficient by not only selling milk, but also producing and marketing dairy products.
