After a long wait, the first Debashish Memorial Eye Hospital, run by Dantan Manav Kalyan Kendra, was inaugurated in Dantan, Paschim Medinipur of West Bengal.

This dream eye hospital of Dantan Manav Kalyan Kendra has a good facility for eye examination using advanced computer machines and completely free and low-cost cataract surgery and other eye surgeries for the poor and needy. Vision Care Centers have been opened at four points for the elderly people of remote villages who find it difficult to come to this hospital for eye examination. Where the doctor will be present once a week and will conduct eye examination.
